Grid-Tied Systems

Let The Sun Pay Your Power Bill

Power your home first—send the rest back to the grid to stack up credits.

A grid-tied solar system generates electricity from the sun and connects directly to the utility grid. Here's how it works:

  • Solar Panels Capture Energy – Panels on your roof or property absorb sunlight and convert it into electricity.

  • Inverter Converts Power – The raw electricity (DC) from the panels is converted into usable AC power by an inverter.

  • Power Your Home First – Your home appliances use the solar power first, reducing your need for grid electricity.

  • Excess Power Goes to the Grid – If your system produces more than you use, the extra electricity flows back to the utility grid.

  • Net Metering Offsets Costs – In many areas, utilities credit you for the excess energy you send to the grid, lowering your bill.

  • Grid Provides Backup – At night or on cloudy days, you draw power from the grid as usual.
